Making our Light up decorations.

As you can see we have had a fantastic time this week doing our D and T project. We've looked at some lights, made a circuit with a switch and designed our own Christmas decorations.Here we are this afternoon busy cutting, sticking and having fun making our decorations.

New homework

I've set you all some spelling homework on iamlearning. We've gone through it all today but if any of you have any problems with logging on etc let me know Monday and i'll try and sort it out. The homework is revision on using contractions and apostrophes. The homework will be available to do up until next thursday afternoon....good luck with it!

Children in need day

Well done everyone for making a fantastic effort to wear your pj's today...I've never seen so many onesies!!
Hopefully we'll have raised lots of money and you can all go home straight to bed without getting changed!!!!! Have a great weekend x

"Why do we have to go to that boring old place?" I whined
"Because Mum said to" whispered my sister.
"Come on then"
We walked and walked along a dusty, dirty road.We were going to the old bird place in town.The reason I didn't want to go is that it has a flooded rectory.When we got there we swayed through the long grass.My sister and me splashed in the chestnut brown water.It wasn't fun at all though.We got to a shallow pond.I suddenly slipped head first into the pond!!! I had plunged deep.......!

I was walking through a huge wood one day with nothing to do.Suddenly I saw a sight and what a funny sight it was! It was a little boy stuck in a puddle upside down!!
"Ha ha ha" I chuckled
"Hey"
"Sorry " I said as I pulled him up from the muddy pit.
"How did you get stuck in there?" I asked
"It is a long story.I was walking through this same wood when I tripped on as log and fell headfirst into the muddy pit.
"How many days have you been here?" I asked.
"Five"

100 word challenges

Here are some of my favourite 100 word challenges from this morning.This was the picture we had to write about...

One day I was sitting watching T.V.There was an advert saying that it was the gardening competition today!! I had totally forgotten and it was starting in 10 minutes.I quickly turned off the T.V and slammed the door and jumped in the van as fast as my legs could carry me.Then I drove off.There were at least 100 people there to watch the show.Then an announcement came on the loud speaker.
"The competition is about to start please no flashing photos.I hope you enjoy!"
I watered the plants,cut the big bushes and then ran to the final hurdle...but I tripped and fell into a wet, smelly puddle, it was very painful. The crowd started laughing like an elephant blowing his trunk.I laughed aswell....it was really funny.  BY MAX

Literacy

Oak are really enjoying our literacy unit this half term. We are specifically looking at The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and even had a visit from Mr Tumnas this morning!! 'You asked him some great questions Oak. Can you think of any more?' If the children have copies of their own at home they are welcome to bring them in.

Just a few reminders.......spellings are given out on a Friday and tested the following Friday. Maths homework is given on a Wednesday to be brought back by the following Wednesday.Three comments about reading in the home side of the planner will get a Dojo....repeated no comments will get a negative dojo.

P.E.is every Thursday morning and 2 out of every 3 Friday afternoons.
