More 100 word challenges.

This week there were 5 prompt words that the children had to use in their 100 word challenge. These two were very good...even though they didn't quite make 100 words.

The prompt words were...pink   gorilla  grand   bicycle   laughed

Here's Maddie's

One funny, money morning there was an old woman called Abigail. She rode her bike to the zoo and she paid to go in with her money. She saw a gorilla. It was big, fat, ugly and warty so she went to hide behind the cage.Suddenly the gorilla saw her and gave her a big hug. Ahhhhhhh Abigail said, he's not so ugly after all!

This one is Charlotte's.

These are some facts about Grand Gorillas put into a story.
Did you know that Grand Gorillas ride pink bicycles and that they are friends with crocodiles?
The crocodiles laughed at the Grand Gorillas riding around on their pink bicycles. Then the clock struck midnight and all the gorillas and crocodiles started dancing, till 1'o'clock! Did you know that the Grand Gorillas live in a disco zoo? The zoo opened at 2'o'clock in the morning. If you want to visit you have to go to www.Grand Gorillas.uk.com

homework.

Don't forget...maths homework in on I am learning this week and spelling homework is to do any of the spelling activities in your spelling book.  Have a good weekend! See you next week everyone.

Fantastic oak writers!!

The 100 word challenge starter this week was a picture of an old shack in a misty field.Even though these children didn't get 100 words written I loved what they did write...well done to Millie, Charlie and Nancy.

One horrid, misty , cold day in a dark shed, an old granny was having a party! There was knitted bunting, cakes and lots of yummy food.As the day went on, the shed became  very colourful and full of fun.All the villagers were queuing for party bags. When all the villagers were in the shed they started singing........'What did the fox say............... (BY NANCY

Hours later of extreme weather I'm standing on a snowy mountain and I see a shed. I went sprinting back to my house, noone was in. I went back to the shed and found some hot chocolate,I put it over the fire and started to cry. My Mum came looking for me but passed the shed. She stopped and called for me.I called back and Mum followed the sound. We found each other and went home.I love my Mum! (BY MILLIE)

Yesterday at 10.00 A.M I went for a walk. Suddenly, I came across a disused , misty field. It was very spooky. Then I heard something."What was it?"
There were crows everywhere and a shed with bits of wood falling off it.That looked spooky! Then I decided to creep into the shed nervously. There was lots of broken glass. As I walked into the next room I saw quite a lot of people, they must have found the old shed as well. What was going on?( BY CHARLIE)
